Privacy policy

Last updated: 4th September 2026

Half Three is a sole trader business operated by Nicole Amswych. We are committed to protecting your personal data and handling it with care and transparency.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. It applies to all interactions with this website and any purchases made through it.

1. Who We Are

Half Three

Business Address: Half Three, Daws House, 33-35 Daws Lane, London NW7 4SD

Email: hello@halfthree.co.uk

We are the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect and process the following personal data:

When you place an order:

  • Full name
  • Delivery address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Payment information — note: card details are processed securely by Stripe and never seen or stored by us

When you use the contact form:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • The content of your message

When you visit our website:

  • Anonymous analytics data via Shopify (pages visited, time on site, general location)
  • Cookies — see our Cookie section below
  • Browsing behaviour tracked via the Meta Pixel (pages viewed, items added to cart, purchases) — used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To process and fulfil your order
  • To send you order confirmations and dispatch notifications
  • To respond to enquiries submitted via our contact form
  • To comply with our legal obligations (e.g. financial record-keeping)
  • To improve our website through anonymous analytics
  • To send marketing emails (only with your consent)

If you opt in to marketing at checkout, we may send you occasional updates about new products or offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

  • Contractual necessity — to fulfil orders you have placed with us
  • Legitimate interests — to respond to contact form enquiries and improve our website
  • Legal obligation — to maintain records required by law (e.g. HMRC)

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We share your data only where necessary:

  • Shopify — our website and e-commerce platform, which hosts your order data
  • Stripe — our payment processor, which handles card transactions securely
  • Delivery Carriers — your name and delivery address are passed to the delivery carrier to fulfil your order
  • Meta (Facebook & Instagram) — we use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure how our ads are performing. This shares browsing behaviour on our website with Meta. You can manage this via the cookie banner on our site, or through your Off-Facebook Activity settings at facebook.com/off_facebook_activity

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your data for the following periods:

  • Order records — 7 years, as required by HMRC for financial record-keeping
  • Contact form submissions — up to 12 months, or until the enquiry is resolved
  • Analytics data — as determined by Shopify's data retention settings

7. Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to make the site function correctly and to collect anonymous analytics data.

We also use the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram advertising. These are only set with your consent via the cookie banner.

Essential cookies are necessary for the site to work (e.g. shopping basket). Non-essential cookies, including analytics cookies, are only set after you give your consent via the cookie banner.

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the Cookie Preferences option on our website.

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (where we are not legally required to retain it)
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Receive your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@halfthree.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we have mishandled your data.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant. Our website is hosted by Shopify, which maintains industry-standard security measures.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to check this page periodically.
